Sunderland a inceput rau meciul, dar pana in minutul 50 reusise sa egaleze. Everton a deschis scorul in minutul 19, prin Deulofeu, iar Arouna Kone a dus tabela la 2-0 in min 31.

Defoe si Fletcher au reusit sa egaleze in minutele 45 si 50, insa apoi a inceput dezastrul.

Coates si-a dat autogol in min 55, Lukaku a marcat pentru 4-2 in min 60, iar Kone a reusit hattrickul in minutele 62 si 76.

La finalul meciului, Pantilimon a fost criticat de fani, pe Twitter. Acestia cer ca portarul roman sa fie trecut ca rezerva pana va reveni la forma din sezonul trecut.
